Our values

We opened the Epicerie du Coing in Pont-d'Ouilly (Calvados), in 2019. this independent grocery store which gathers today 64 local producers, we define it as a "natural" grocery store. All the fruits and vegetables are certified AB and we have visited all the local producers who are not certified in order to see that they meet our way of conceiving the most natural production possible. We are located in a village of 1000 inhabitants, in a rural environment, the first economic pole or the first large surface being 15 km away. It is a reconversion. I have a master's degree in agri-food trade and I have always worked for large agri-food groups. Tired of this life, at 40 years old, I decided to create this grocery store in my village. Today and in 18 months we have gone from 30 m2 of sales area to 80. My wife now works full time with me. We have diversified the offer by proposing 0 waste workshops. My wife is the village seamstress now with the "quince" sewing. We have opened a showroom for the "expo du coing" and we rent electric bikes during the summer season.
